Description

Harness only, seat not included.

The only problem area on Tamiya's suberb F-35 model kit is the lack of seat harness detail (they give us a decal substitute). Here is where Matters of Scale 3D printed resin harness comes into play.

The shoulder straps are hung up on the side of the seat as is common on F-35 parked and ready for crew ingress. The strap detail is designed to be accurate to production F-35 variants.

This is a very fiddley part to work with. I would place the difficulty around the same as working with microscopic PE, or threading HGW harnesses at 1/48 scale, or biplane rigging. If you are not comfortable and confident with these kinds of tasks then this will be frustrating.

The parts might break when you remove them from the supports. This is not a problem. Just assemble them in pieces on the seat. It is very difficult to separate the parts without them breaking in at least one spot.

Fasten the parts to the seat using cyano glue (Super glue) or PVA (white glue), or an acrylic glue (like Gator's grip). Whatever you are comforatble with using to glue tiny fragile parts.

Paint black before gluing, or brush paint after attaching. Priming is recommended.
