1/48 One-Piece Nose for Magic Factory A-4M :: Three (3) Downloadable STL Files

Description

This part is designed to replace the multi-piece nose/radome on the 1/48 Magic Factory A-4M. Otherwise a nice kit, the multi-part nose from the kit is problematic. The real A-4 is rarely seen all opened up, so if you want to model the aircraft with a closed nose you have to make all of the parts fit cleanly and this is difficult with the kit parts resulting in a lumpy mess. In reality, the A-4M nose is smooth and nearly seamless when all buttoned up. Hence this part.

Matters of Scale offers three variations, the same as the kit offers:

Variation 1: What they call the Early nose.
Variation 2: That they call the "Late" nose, but with no ARBS window. (ARBS is the Angle/Rate Bombing System - the clear sensor window in the nose)
Variation 3: The Late nose with the ARBS window.

CLEAR PARTS ARE NOT INCLUDED, USE KIT CLEAR PARTS.
If you select the Late nose with ARBS, you can use your kit clear parts for the ARBS window and sensor.

Instructions:
Assemble the kit as per the instructions. Use part U2 (closed) or U16 (open) to help position and align the nose.
If using the variation with the ARBS window, use kit clear parts S2 (ARBS window) and S1 (ARBS sensor). The ARBS window (S2) is a press fit, and the ARBS sensor (S1) is inserted from the back (white glue recommended).
